The Trepat variety’s lightness has crafted the new identity of la Conca de Barberà wines. A land tied to vineyards since the time of the Reconquest which saw the flourishing of wine culture through the Cistercian monks, which bore direct testament to the cooperative boom, which preserves Catalan Art Nouveau wineries that are authentic wine cathedrals, and which today is on the rise again thanks to winegrowers who are looking to the past to build the future. The nursery of winemakers, initiatives inspired by Trepat and local varieties and the desire to revamp the wine landscape are the main attractions of a DO which still has a long journey ahead of it. Be the first to call in and you won’t be disappointed.
