The Denomination of Origin (DO) Catalunya inherits this winemaking tradition and guarantees the quality and the close origin of their protected wines, with a marked Mediterranean character.
Whenever you find this seal, the quality and origin of the wine you have chosen will be guaranteed. Finding it will be very easy since DO Catalunya represents more than 50% of Catalan wine with Denomination of Origin. Although there are 12 denominations of origin in Catalonia, the DO Catalunya is the largest, both in terms of hectares (nearly 40,000 ha) and in number of bottles sold, with more than 60 million bottles a year.
