Sitges celebrates the 62nd edition of the Harvest Festival (Verema), on September 29, 30 and October 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is one of the festivals with the longest tradition in the local festive calendar. The program of events, which will be concentrated mainly in the Plaza de la Fragata, includes a wine sample, the proclamation of La Verema and the grape-stomping contest with the peso de la Pubilla and el Hereu with bottles of wine, as main acts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proclamation of the Harvest Festival will officially kick off the celebration on Saturday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The schedule of events continues over the weekend, and the highlights of the last day will be the pressing of the first must, the 44th Grape-stomping Contest, the weighing of Pubilla and Hereu with its equivalent in wine, and the inauguration from the fountain of wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
