As every year, the International Day of Museums (IDM) will take place on May 18.
The motto proposed by ICOM for DIM’2023 is “Museums, sustainability and well-being”. Museums make a fundamental contribution to the well-being and sustainable development of our communities. As trusted institutions and with spaces of union in our social fabric, they are in a unique position to promote positive change. Museums can contribute to the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in many ways: from supporting climate action and fostering inclusion, to combating social isolation and improving of mental health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
